Park History / Post Centenary

Since the success of the Centenary Celebrations FOGP at last has had some money to spend carefully on the park. We have fitted boardwalks to muddy areas, which we will finish, and we have taken other initiatives. The joint scheme we supported with LBE and Thames21 to reroute the stream to prevent the danger of flooding has been a vast improvement to the park allowing for the creation of reed beds to filter water pollution. For the future we will work with LBE to ensure that we protect the legacy of the park for future generations.
