Park History / 1960s – 1980s
By the time of the swinging 60’s there was more freedom and people had more money and time for their leisure. The football pitches were regularly used and the old victorian style playground equipment was replaced with a less dangerous play area for children. Some people miss the big steel slide and the swings. We also lost the boats on the lake.
